This is my latest oil painting. My Thursday painting group, The Six Muses, originally planned to paint en plein air, but due to high winds, we decided to paint in my studio instead. After scrounging around the basement for fall items, Michelle came up with this still life arrangement. The painting is painted on an 8" x 10" canvas panel.

Eggplant Still Life

This is my most recent oil painting - it was painted this last Thursday from a still life which we set up in my studio. I am part of a wonderful group of women painters and we paint together, mostly on Thursdays, but have also been getting together other times to paint en plein air around the area. Our plein air guide and teacher is Michelle Walker, an excellent plein air painter.

The View From Patty's Farm

This painting was painted en plein aire in the back yard of my good friend Patty's backyard, early this summer on a very cloudy day without much sun - so there were very few shadows. It is painted on 8" x 10" canvas board .
