I had a wonderful weekend painting with the Ohio Plein Air Society at Lakeside, Ohio, on Ohio's north shore of Lake Erie. Lakeside is a beautiful nostalgic place that transports one back to life in the 1950's. The adults are friendly, the children courteous and so well behaved...the buildings and cottages picturesque, and the lake totally awesome. We had beautiful weather, too, except for the intense heat. Luckily there was a breeze most of the time. This is an oil painting I painted on Saturday. It is 14" x 11" and is painted on a stretched canvas. It is called "The Silly Goose" - the name of the store with the green awnings.

This is a painting I did while painting en plein air this morning. It was a lot of fun, but rather uncomfortable since it was 99 degrees and very humid outside. We are in the midst of a heat wave right now. Hopefully it will end soon! The painting is 8" x 10 " and is painted on a canvas panel.
